Rustic Oak Barrels

These are coopered from genuine ex-distillery oak barrel materials and make ideal decor for giving an olden day ambience to pubs and bars or for use as stage props. They are often used as bric-a-brac by bar fitters in real ale pubs, Irish bars and Western theme bars. Please note that these barrels are not watertight and their dimensions and capacities are approximate.

New Barrels

These small, newly coopered barrels are available in sizes from 5 litres up to 50 litres.

All sizes except the largest are supplied with a stand and a tap as shown in the photograph. They can be easily filled via the wooden bung visible on the top of the barrel.

They could be used to bring a touch of authenticity to your bar top and would make an unusual present for the home brew or wine enthusiast.

Ideal for the home wine maker or for storing large quantities of wine or cider they are coopered from real chestnut or oak. Each one has black painted hoop iron and is lacquered externally.

Wine and cider develops a sweeter taste when fermented or stored in chestnut and white wine tends to develop a rosé tinge. The influence of oak on wine or cider creates a stronger, deeper flavour.

All capacities and dimensions are approximate. 10, 15, 20 and 25 litre barrels are supplied complete with stand, tap, wooden bung and wooden drinking bowl. 50 litre barrels are supplied with a tap and a wooden bung but not with a stand.
