Working cast iron village pump often referred to as a P1 pump. The pump has a screwed 1¼" BSP fitting at the base such that a lift pipe may be fitted and four 11mm holes in the flange for mounting bolts. When the handle is cranked water may be drawn from several feet. The position of the handle may be altered to be at the back or to one side by slackening its retaining bolts and rotating the handle to the desired position.The village pump stand bolts to the village pump base flange with four bolts provided this doubles the height to create a very impressive well pump, being a hollow section, a draw pipe can be fed through into a pond or well to draw or pump water.
